Just like the times it was first introduced to Sri Lanka, batik has become the realm of village based women, who create beautiful designs on clothes with just dexterity of their hands and pure imagination. One such woman was Padmini, who combined her inherent design skills, years of experience, solid work ethic and business skills to create Shreedevi Batik. Located in the picturesque town of Mahawewa on Sri Lanka’s North Western coastal belt, the beautiful surrounds gave Padmini the inspiration more than 30 years ago to forge ahead with her dream.

Today, Shreedevi Batik products stand out in the market because we are not only elegant and progressive in our designs, but our pricing structure is realistic. Our designs are exclusive but not eccentric, and our customer engagement is one of close and personal relationships.
